UGANDA
Gorilla Trekking in Uganda 10D/09N


What set Uganda apart from any other African destination are its guided treks to the natural habitats of some of the world's fewest remaining mountain gorillas. Despite only 600 mountain gorillas remaining in the world, Uganda offers a special opportunity to track and observe these magnificent creatures and other primates in their natural habitats.

Description of the circuit:
An exciting Safari trip combining arid desert & lushly vegetated wetlands

DAY 1 -2: ARRIVAL - MAUN - KETUMETSE TRAILS CAMP, OKAVANGO DELTA
Upon arrival in Maun, fly to Ketumetse Trails Camp
Activities: nature walking and canoeing, game driving (by day and night), "catch and release" fishing

DAY 3 -4: XIGERA CAMP, OKAVANGO DELTA
Fly by light aircraft, to Xigera Camp in the Okavango Delta
Activities concentrate on:
Experiencing the Delta while you sit back in a mokoro (dugout canoe)
Birds gliding home to roost from a motorboat on the Xigera Lagoon
Tracking animals on foot

DAY 5 -6: LINYANTI DISCOVERER CAMP, LINYANTI
AM: Fly by light aircraft to the Linyanti concession
Activities concentrate on:
Game drive to Discoverer camp
And in the northern sector of the Concession
Game walk or game drive to a private area for lunch
PM: Siesta in hammocks and the possibility of a canoe trip
Back to camp


DAY 7: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK, ZAMBIA
AM: A short drive and breakfast
Fly to the northern Chobe region of Chobe National Park
Lunch on a Catamaran-style shaded boat
PM: Leave Botswana and enter Livingstone in Zambia
Activities concentrate on:
Cruising Zambezi River's islands
Fishing and sundowner trips

DAY 8: VICTORIA FALLS - LIVINGSTONE - DEPARTURE
AM: Guided tour of Victoria Falls
PM: Transfer to the Livingstone airport for departure flight
